In spite of all the problems at the concert, it was a great experience and I’m glad I got to share it with Andy. I just hate that Andy put all of this work into surprising me and it was ruined by poor planning on behalf of the convention center staff.
And when I emailed them to let them know about my poor experience as to not blindside them with this blog post, they simply said “We’re sorry, we had some kinks to work out since it was our first big concert.” Yes, but when we didn’t get what we paid for (remember, we had mid-priced seats that were supposed to be 7 rows from the front) I think it’s more than just a few kinks. We should have been offered a partial refund or something, and to get a “We’re sorry” is pretty pathetic. As convenient as it was to go to a concert mere blocks from my house, I don’t plan on going to another concert there in the future.
