It’s the 10th of August and I’m already over my budget for the month.
Actually, I’m not.
When I made my original budget, I didn’t account for once-a-year expenses, like new contact lenses, new shoes, or textbooks for the semester. I also didn’t account for the extra income that I receive at the beginning of the semester (thank you, student loans!)
Which means when I log onto Mint.com, it says that I’m over my budget. Of course, that makes me nervous. I don’t like looking and seeing that in theory, I have only $13 to last me 20 days.
So, I’m completely in denial about my finances. Typical Bailey.
At least next year I will know what my annual expenses are and how to add them into my budget!
