I’ve mentioned my Mamaw a few times on my blog, but if you missed my previous posts, she was a huge help in raising me. She quit her job when my mom was pregnant with my sisters and me and took care of my mom while she was on bedrest and then took care of us after we were born. Every sick day or snow day was spent at Mamaw and Papaw’s house. She taught me about Jesus and taught me to drive. She prayed for me throughout college, and thanks to her prayers, I was able to graduate with a 3.91 GPA in 3.5 years. It was a blessing to have her watch me graduate college in December 2013. She prayed that I would get a Christian husband for years– ever since I was a teenager– so I was honored to have her at my wedding a few months ago. Since moving away from my hometown, she has called me nearly every day and prayed for my adjustment to military life and that I would find a job.
Mamaw’s 74th birthday is coming up in just a few short weeks and I wanted to make her a super special gift basket. I know I can never repay her for all she’s done for me, but this is my way of acknowledging all the sacrifices she made on behalf of her granddaughters.
