With all the cold weather outside, I’ve been watching lots of movies… when I’m not working, that is! Here’s what Andy and I have been watching lately!
Me Before You
Andy and I watched this movie for date night and I thought it would be a nice chick flick. It was a great movie, but sad. The movie is rated PG-13, but I am not sure the rating is strict enough since the movie deals with assisted suicide. In my opinion, 13 year olds might not have the maturity level to handle such a sensitive topic.
How to Be Single
This movie follows 4 single women in their adventures to settle down. Honestly, this movie is so complex and has so many storylines that I can’t even begin to describe them! I don’t really care for movies that have multiple storylines/main characters, so I didn’t really enjoy this one. Rebel Wilson is one of the actresses in it, which was a bright spot.
Hart of Dixie
I finished watching this series while Andy was away in January and surprisingly, I was sad to see it end! I didn’t like it when I first started watching, but it definitely grew on me. I adore Rachel Bilson and would love to see her star in something else!
I grabbed this movie from Redbox for an at-home date night. We originally both wanted to watch Hacksaw Ridge, but the Redbox was out of them because everyone else had the same idea as us! So, I settled on Sully. It tells the story of Captain Chesley Sullenberger’s infamous “Miracle on the Hudson” in January 2009. Andy and I were both shocked that it had been so long since then– George Bush was still the President (barely!) We both cried watching this movie– although Andy won’t admit it. Captain Sullenberger is an Air Force Academy grad and so it was neat to talk about my visit to USAFA in June 2013!
