As I mentioned in Friday’s post, Andy was able to get a pass for the weekend and come up to Kentucky. I left Owensboro around 1:15 pm (but not before stopping for a Frozen Coke at Burger King), and sped my way to Murray. Seriously, I was so excited to see my boyfriend that I kept pressing harder on the gas and passed cars like a NASCAR driver.
I made it to Murray about 3:15 pm, and checked into the hotel. Since my room was on the second floor and there was no elevator, I decided to wait until Andy came to greet me to take my bags upstairs. There are benefits to having a boyfriend, and this was one of them. I waited for what felt like an eternity, but it must have only been a few minutes. I was so nervous that I could have puked. I didn’t know if things would be the same as when we left each other in July, or if it would be awkward again. Before I knew it, the 60 day wait was over, and I was in his arms again. No awkwardness to be found.
