After our snorkeling and submarine adventure on our Dominican Republic vacation, we took a speedboat to the “natural swimming pool” that just happened to be the “largest one in the world.” Now, whether or not it meets that claim, I do not know, but I can say this “swimming pool” was a sandbar. That being said, Andrew and I had a blast splashing around in the water. Since it was waist-deep, I wasn’t worried about getting in over my head, and I didn’t have to wear a lifejacket. The other couples on our excursion asked the photographer to take some photos of them, so Andy and I did the same 😉
My favorite part of swimming in the
sandbar natural swimming pool was seeing starfish! Of course, we didn’t take any pictures of the starfish because we didn’t want to disturb them.
And then, it was off to the main attraction: Saona Island! Saona Island deserves a post of its own, so stay tuned!
