It’s been a long while since I’ve written sponsored posts here on Becoming Bailey. I certainly appreciate the opportunity to share about different products and companies as well as make a few dollars to contribute towards running this website, but I also want to be honest with my readers. So today, I thought I’d share updated thoughts on some of the brands I’ve worked with over the past 7 (!!!) years. While I was compensated for the original post(s) about these products/companies, I receive nothing from today’s post, and all thoughts in this post are 100% mine.
Litter Genie: We still love our Litter Genie, especially now that I’m pregnant and Andy has taken over the cat litter duties. (No pun intended!) The Litter Genie refill packs are a little pricey for our budget, but we found this great alternative from Amazon and added it to our Subscribe & Save for maximum savings.
HP: This was, and still is, my favorite brand to work with as they provided me with a new laptop. I’ve used this laptop every single day for the past 3 years, and it still works just as well as the day I got it. It’s even survived accidentally being kicked off the couch by my sweet-but-clueless pup. The only “problem” is that I use it so often, the letters on the keyboard have rubbed off! Thankfully, that’s an easy fix 🙂
ocelo scrub sponges: We recently switched to using washcloths in the kitchen for most everyday tasks, but we still have a pack of these sponges on hand for deep cleaning needs.
Clear Lake, Iowa: We still love to visit Clear Lake whenever we can. When my sister came to visit in January, we hopped on over to Clear Lake one morning to explore. Now that the weather is warm, I’m looking forward to going to Clear Lake for Thursdays on Main and other summer activities!
Hyperbiotics: I still take a probiotic every single day, although I did switch from the PRO-Women to the PRO-Moms probiotic when I learned I was pregnant. Again, I buy these from Amazon’s Subscribe & Save for maximum savings.
Walmart Auto Care Center: When I was working at the community college, I opted to get my oil changed on campus through the automotive program. Not only was it super convenient (I’d just park at the auto center, and by the time my workday was over, my car was ready to go) but it was affordable as they charge only the price of the oil; there are no labor charges since it gives the students the chance to learn on a real vehicle. Since I’ve left that job, we’ve had our oil changes done at the car dealership where we bought our vehicles; they gave us free coupons as compensation for the not-great experience we had with them in regards to getting our cars registered in our home state while being stationed in Iowa. (Ahhh, active-duty military problems!) That being said, we’ll go back to getting oil changes at Walmart once the coupons run out or we PCS (whichever comes first, lol!)
Sheba Meaty Tender Sticks cat treats: These treats are Gracie’s favorite– she refuses to eat any other brand of cat treats– so on special occasions, I will buy these (or the Aldi equivalent) for her.
Tidy Cats cat litter: It appears that the majority of my sponsored posts revolve around my cat 😉 We still like Tidy Cats litter and it did a great job at blocking the stinkiness of the litter box. However, to be more environmentally-friendly (and save a few pennies), we’ve switched to using the Petco brand of litter that we refill ourselves from their bulk litter bin.
HANA Elite flat iron: This was my very first sponsored post way back in 2013 (when I was still in college!), so I added it to this list mostly for the throwback. I don’t tend to flat iron my hair often anymore– I typically just let it air dry– but when I do need to straighten my hair, I still use this flat iron.
I’ve enjoyed seeing how Becoming Bailey has evolved over the past few years, and I look forward to seeing what the future holds! While my main priority is to keep this blog mine, I do enjoy writing posts (such as the occasional sponsored post) that get me out of my comfort zone.
