While Andy and I were out of town at the beginning of May for a weekend in Cave City, we went to Kentucky Down Under, an animal park with mostly Australian animals. Although I’ve been to Cave City numerous times, this was a new experience for me since I have never been there. Kentucky Down Under is the only place you can feed kangaroos, so we knew we had to get a taste of the Outback before we left the Bluegrass state!
My favorite animals were the kookaburras (I made them laugh!), the lemurs (like Zooboomafoo!), and the adorable baby goats that refused to let me pet them.
Although Kentucky Down Under is a little pricey (it was $36 for two adult tickets through MWR), it was a really neat experience and one that I can’t wait to take future Cumminses to someday!
Have you ever been to an Australian zoo?
