Now that I’m mostly caught up in blogging about Drew, I wanted to finish recapping our dream Hawaiian babymoon. We spent so much money on this trip that it would be a shame not to tell the rest of the story. Just kidding — we spent only $2,500 for a week for two in Hawaii (check out my post Our Babymoon Budget for more details) — but I still want to write about our babymoon for my own memory, if nothing else.
After we visited Pearl Harbor and the USS Missouri (which I will blog about soon!), we rushed over to Kahana Bay to take maternity photos with Steph. I learned about Steph from Katie from Stripes & Whimsy‘s Instagram and knew I had to book Steph for my photos. She’s a fellow Army wife, and I love supporting milspouse businesses whenever possible. I secretly was a little fangirlish to learn that Katie was her assistant. The two of them were the sweetest ever and made our maternity photo session SO MUCH FUN!
We opted to take our maternity photos on our second full day in Hawaii, which was a good decision as we were already pretty sunburnt by this point. Thankfully, Steph beautifully edited our photos so that you can’t tell 😉
These photos are one of my favorite things about our Hawaii trip. Whenever I look at them, it takes me back to a peaceful week in paradise with my love and our baby in my belly. If only we could live in Hawaii… (please Army, make it happen someday!!!)
