When I first learned I was expecting a little one, one of the first things I thought about was buying maternity clothes. As a first time mama-to-be, I couldn’t wait to finally have a little bump to show off! Now that I’m in my second trimester and the bump is here to stay, I’ve learned a thing or two about maternity clothes: not only they can be incredibly pricey for something that’s worn for only a few months, but some of them are just plain ugly.
One of the first maternity-specific pieces I needed was new bras, as my ribcage expanded much quicker than I had expected, towards the middle of my first trimester. Combined with the on-again, off-again bloat in my tummy, even bra extenders weren’t helping the feeling of discomfort. Out of desperation, I went to the nearest Walmart and Target to buy something on the fly but was disappointed in their limited selection, all in boring shades of tan, black, or white. I bought one, of course, but made a note to look for maternity bras that were prettier.
Recently, Kindred Bravely sent me a French Terry Racerback Nursing & Sleep Bra in the limited edition Pink Camo pattern. Pink camouflage isn’t a pattern I would normally pick for myself, but I’m thrilled that it’s not taupe or another plain color. Even though I’m still in the second trimester, I love this bra already! It provides enough support and coverage so that everything isn’t on display without making my already-large chest look gigantic. And oh my goodness, it is so comfortable! I’m especially excited that I will be able to wear this throughout my pregnancy and postpartum, as it’s designed to fit multiple cup sizes.
Becoming Bailey readers can receive a 25% off on their purchase of a pink camo French Terry Racerback Nursing & Sleep Bra by using the code CAMO25 at checkout. Even if you aren’t pregnant or nursing, it’s incredibly comfortable for an everyday or sleep bra. I know I’ll be wearing mine even after the postpartum stage ends because it’s just that comfortable.
Kindred Bravely has a few other items that I have my eye on. The Angelina Nursing & Maternity Nightgown, the Davy Nursing & Maternity Pajamas, and the Lucille Nursing Nightgown & Maternity Lingerie. Not only are they functional for nursing, but they are cute!
Even though life will change quite a bit once Baby Cummins arrives, I still want to maintain as much of myself as I can. And thanks to Kindred Bravely, these cute yet functional pieces will help me to still feel like pre-motherhood Bailey.
